Celebrity Big Brother contestants Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag have reportedly been paid a six-figure sum
An insider has told The Huffington Post that the former Hills cast members received a fee of $500,000 (£309,620) for their appearance on the Channel 5 reality show, which began last week.
"They earned $500,000 from the show, for basically one week's work. Each of the stars on the show have negotiated different rates," the source claimed.
"With Heidi and Spencer they got two for the price of one; however, it's still a good deal for very little work. It's unlikely they will win the whole thing."
Pratt and Montag are being treated as one contestant for the purposes of the show.
The couple were recently allowed to watch their fellow contestants in secret from the basement of the house, while the other housemates have been led to believe that they walked off the show.
