What to Watch Tonight: Modern Family, Suburgatory, and American Horror Story

What to Watch Tonight: Modern Family, Suburgatory, and American Horror Story

Things just haven't been the same since you joined that dangerous street gang. I mean, sure, you've got the cool jacket and also a comb that flips open like a switchblade, but your DVR is getting so full! So tonight, consider coming in from the streets and getting caught up on all the hot properties on your TV:

9pm, ABC
Modern Family
In "Punkin Chunkin," America's favorite gourd-projectile pastime helps bring the family together when drama threatens to ruin Thanksgiving. Said drama includes Phil's unease over the return of a now-rich childhood friend and Cameron's annoyance over Mitchell's need to scrutinize his childhood memories. But seriously, Punkin Chunkin.

10pm, FX
American Horror Story
Tonight we'll finally learn the true identity of the Gimp Suit Ghost! (Why you be knockin' up Connie Britton, rubber dude?) Also Hayden and Nora will join forces for a presumably grim purpose.

8pm, NBC
Up All Night
Reagan spends a week at home, which has negative effects on Chris's daily routine. Also Ava attempts to woo Kevin (Jason Lee) by teaching his daughter how to sing using her extensive '90s R&B experience.

8:30pm, ABC
Suburgatory
Tessa attempts to spend Thanksgiving in the city rather than put up with all the neighborhood traditions (which includes greeting neighbors with the phrase "Gobble gobble.") Elsewhere, Lisa butts heads with her mother when she doesn't want to wear a dress her mother bought for the occasion. Pro-tip: We screened this episode early, and it was much-loved around the TV.com offices.

8pm, CBS
Survivor: South Pacific
Now is a great time to get caught up on a surprisingly strong season! Yep, this week is the highlight episode, but it also nicely provides a point of entry just as the game promises to really heat up now that one alliance has been completely liquidated. Team Sophie!

10pm, ABC
Revenge
Tonight Emily will seek out a mentor when she loses her most trusted friend. Meanwhile Tyler causes even more damage and Victoria's trouble streak continues. (Patiently waiting for a character to accidentally bump into a green screen.)
