'Justified' Re-Upped for Season 4 on FX

Everyone's favorite U.S. marshal and his Kentucky cohorts will be back for at least one more year, as FX has given a green light to a fourth season of "Justified."

The series, which revolves around the Elmore Leonard-created marshal Raylan Givens (Timothy Olyphant), is currently airing its third season. Six new episodes remain, including Tuesday's terrifically intense "Watching the Detectives" installment, before the series' April 10 season finale.

"Justified" is averaging 4.3 million total viewers for season three, up 8 percent from season two, which ended with the death of scene-stealing holler crime maven Mags Bennett and earned a Best Supporting Actress Emmy for her portrayer, Margo Martindale.

In January, Leonard released a new novel, "Raylan," which revolves around Givens, the Stetson-wearing marshal he introduced in the short story "Fire in the Hole."

"Justified is one of television’s best series and this season has reinforced that excellence," said FX Executive Vice President of Original Programming Nick Grad. "(Series creator) Graham Yost and his writing team continue to deliver compelling material and richly drawn characters brought to life by the brilliance of Timothy Olyphant and our terrific ensemble cast.  Their work is validated by universal acclaim, awards, and ratings that have grown every year. We look forward to many more seasons to come."
