Episodes's Tamsin Greig has described co-star Matt LeBlanc as "just a bloke".
"I'm sure no-one said to Matt, 'What was it like kissing Tamsin Greig? That must have been a real highlight of your career'," PA quotes her as saying.
"He's just a bloke and actually kissing is so technical. It's about being at the right angle and having the mouth in a certain position because a real kiss doesn't look very good on camera."
Greig, 45, added that she has no plans to follow in the footsteps of her Episodes character and move to LA.
"I don't care what shape I am, I don't care how old I look, but Hollywood does, so it would be a tricky relationship," she said.
"I'm not stupid - I'm not young and I'm not beautiful and maybe people are drawn to people who are ordinary. Maybe I'm standing up for the common woman."
The second series of Episodes begins on BBC Two on Friday, May 11.
