Westlife's Kian Egan, who recently helped out on The Xtra Factor, and Capital Breakfast's Dave Berry have also joined the show as roving reporters.

The revived version of Surprise Surprise was originally intended to be a one-off special, but will now air over six hour-long episodes.

"What an incredible honour to be asked to present Surprise Surprise for ITV1," Willoughby said. "I can't wait to get out there delivering new surprises to the nation."

Guests featured in the first episode include Kim Gumble, who nominates son Luke, 24, for a Formula 1-themed surprise after he donated part of his liver to childhood friend Billy-Joe Sewell.

Teenage carer Jodie Williams dedicates her time to sister Faye, who suffers from cerebral palsy. The Saturdays take Jodie on a unique shopping trip as a special thank you from Faye.

Surprise Surprise originally aired between 1984 and 1997 and was hosted by Cilla Black, who reunited families and made dreams come true on the series.
