Lennox Lewis, Killa Kella for Virgin's 'Britain's Got Talent' idents

Lennox Lewis, Killa Kella for Virgin's 'Britain's Got Talent' idents

Lennox Lewis, a talented dog, a coin trick and a beat-boxer are all to appear in Virgin Media's promotional short clips around the return of Britain's Got Talent this weekend.

Virgin Media, the main sponsor of Simon Cowell's talent show in 2012, intends to showcase the particular talents of its customers, staff and various celebrities in promotional 'idents' around the show.

Britain's Got Talent returns to television screens on ITV1 at 8pm tomorrow, featuring Simon Cowell and Amanda Holden being joined by new judges David Walliams and Alesha Dixon.

Virgin Media has created a series of ten-second idents featuring a range of skills, in the hope that it will inspire viewers to try out the talents for themselves.

The clips will be shown around Britain's Got Talent on ITV1, as well as spinoff show Britain's Got More Talent and America's Got Talent, both on ITV2.

They include former world champion boxer Lennox Lewis, apparently a Virgin Media customer, showing off his skipping skills, and rapper Killa Kella beat-boxing.

Jacob Hill, one of Virgin Media's young 'Pioneers', will perform a "dazzling coin trick", while a Virgin Media customer named Joanna will introduce her talented dog Bella and another named Tarryn Algar will demonstrate his basketball skills.

A further ident will feature Virgin Media staff member Aileen Brady showing how to Irish dance.

Virgin Media has set up a YouTube channel offering tutorials, hints and tips across the skills for people to try them out themselves.

Viewers can also upload videos of their own versions of the ident talents, or add new skills of their own for the chance of winning tickets to the Britain's Got Talent final later this year.

"Britain's Got Talent is a highlight of the TV schedule and we're delighted to be showing off our amazing customers, employees, Virgin Media Pioneers and fans on primetime TV," said Nigel Gilbert, chief marketing officer at Virgin Media.

"This year's show promises to be bigger and better than ever and our idents will add to the stellar lineup of unforgettable talent and memorable moments."

Virgin Media Pioneers is an online peer-to-peer community of over 2,000 talented young entrepreneurs, enabling people to access mentoring, training and support.
