'X Factor' is a set-up, says Frankie Cocozza

Reality TV star Frankie Cocozza has hit out at The X Factor, describing the ITV1 talent show as a "set-up".

Cocozza starred on the singing contest last year, but was kicked off the programme after breaking a "golden rule".

After Louis Walsh controversially chose to save Rylan Clark on last night's results show, Cocozza joined in criticism of the TV series and appeared to imply that it was fixed.

"I'm pretty sure the X Factor just showed the whole country how set up it is," wrote Cocozza.

"Not that we didn't know that anyway. The producers f**ked it."

He added: "Oh and I forgot my s**t performances proved the same thing last year. Good night."

Fans have complained angrily about last night's X Factor result, which saw Carolynne Poole leaving the Live Shows in week one.

Pictures of producer Richard Holloway talking to Walsh during Carolynne's sing-off performance particularly annoyed viewers and some have suggested that he may have been pushing Walsh to save Rylan.

Other viewers were just unhappy that the exec may have distracted Walsh from listening to Carolynne's save-me song.
