'Dallas' Charlene Tilton considers quitting 'Dancing on Ice' every day
'Dallas' Charlene Tilton considers quitting 'Dancing on Ice' every day
Dallas actress Charlene Tilton has admitted that she has considered quitting Dancing on Ice.
The 53-year-old US star told Lorraine that the fear of getting a bad injury was making her seriously doubt her place on the ITV1 reality show during training.
"At my age it doesn't take a huge fall to really get hurt, it could take something really that simple," said Tilton. "Every day, I say I want to quit and I think 'I'm done, I'm finished, I can't do it.'"
Tilton claimed that it was only her part-time work with people with disabilities that was motivating her not to withdraw from the competition.
"Back in LA I work with actors with autism and I teach acting to a group of people with disabilities, and I'm getting so many lovely texts, emails and messages," she said.
"I can't be hypocritical and quit and not try my best when my students who have so many more struggles than I do are doing so well. I have to practise what I preach."
Tilton is the 4/5 bookies favourite to be axed from the show this week, ahead of Rosemary Conley (2/1), Sam Nixon (6/1) and Heidi Range (10/1).
Dancing on Ice continues on Sunday nights on ITV1.

Adam Levine: 'I would audition for The Voice'
Adam Levine: 'I would audition for The Voice'
Adam Levine has revealed that he would audition for The Voice if he were a struggling musician today.
The 'Moves Like Jagger' singer dropped by Late Night with Jimmy Fallon on Thursday (February 2) to discuss The Voice's second season premiere, which debuts after the Super Bowl on Sunday (February 5).
Levine told Jimmy Fallon during the interview that he thinks he could succeed much more easily on The Voice than on similar talent shows like American Idol and The X Factor USA.
"I think if I was ever going to do one of those shows, I would do The Voice," Levine said. "I really trust the people that are doing the coaching… I love everybody else on the show. It's just a great vibe and everyone's a singer - everyone's a great singer, at that. I just kind of trust it."
Levine also confirmed rumours that he will duet with fellow Voice coaches Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green and Blake Shelton on a medley of Prince's greatest hits in the second episode of The Voice, airing Monday (February 6).

'Game of Thrones' Kit Harington teases 'tempestuous' Jon Snow romance
Kit Harington has revealed new details about the second season of Game of Thrones.
The actor - who plays Jon Snow on the HBO fantasy drama - told MTV News that his character will have a "tempestuous relationship" with new character Ygritte (Rose Leslie).
"I'm not allowed to go into details... but I will say that it's nice for Jon to meet a woman," he teased. "Watch this space, honestly - [Rose is] amazing."
Harington also hinted that Jon will have a more action-packed role in the new episodes.
"Jon gets to fight more," he confirmed. "In the first season, it was all training yard stuff, and the world he's going into [this season] is very much more real. The fighting he has to do, it's for real. It's not play fighting."
He added that the popularity of Game of Thrones seems to be "snowballing" throughout the world.
"It keeps getting more momentum," he admitted. "I think it's one of those things - a TV show, the longer it's out there and is doing well, word of mouth spreads it around, and then more and more people watch it. It's... fantastic for us."
Game of Thrones will return on April 1 on HBO in the US and on April 2 on Sky Atlantic in the UK.

Madonna to Joe Francis: Nyah, Nyah, I Wasn't Performing 'Girls Gone Wild' at the Super Bowl Anyway!
Madonna to Joe Francis: Nyah, Nyah, I Wasn't Performing 'Girls Gone Wild' at the Super Bowl Anyway!
Sorry, Joe Francis; Madonna won't give you a chance to rake in a Super Bowl payday.
On Friday, David R. Houston, attorney for "Girls Gone Wild" mogul Francis, sent Madonna a letter, threatening legal action if she performs her new song of the same name at the Super Bowl halftime show on Sunday. The letter was obtained by TMZ.
Houston told the singer, "[Y]our misappropriation of my clients' trademark will not be tolerated" and accused her of trying to take a "free ride" on "the valuable consumer goodwill and brand recognition of my clients' trademark." ("Girls Gone Wild?" Goodwill?)
Noting that Francis is "ready and willing to pursue legal action," Houston is demanding that Madonna "negotiate an immediate licensing agreement for use of the Trademark" and pay Francis' attorney's fees in the matter.
Oh, and he also insisted that the Material Mom promise not to "perform or market the song at the Super Bowl this Sunday."
As it turns out, Francis could have given his lawyer the day off, because Madge doesn't plan to perform the song -- and never did.
"The song will not be performed at Super Bowl halftime show," Madonna's publicist told TheWrap. "It was never a possibility. She has confirmed she will be performing her new single and three of her gems from the past."
Her new single, of course, being "Give Me All Your Luvin'," which was released Friday.
"Girls Gone Wild" is on Madonna's upcoming album "MDNA," which is scheduled for a March 26 release but went on presale at iTunes on Friday.
In the letter, Houston said that his "research" indicated that Madonna would be performing the song at the Super Bowl.
Perhaps now Francis can get back to what he should really be outraged about over Madonna's halftime show -- the singer's vow that there won't be any wardrobe malfunctions this year.
