'Dancing on Ice' Matthew Wolfenden: 'I won't skate topless'

'Dancing on Ice' Matthew Wolfenden: 'I won't skate topless'

Dancing on Ice's Matthew Wolfenden has ruled out skating topless on the show.

The Emmerdale actor stormed to the top of the judges' scoreboard on Sunday's show, picking up 20.5 points for his routine to 'Give You Everything' with Nina Ulanova.

Robin Cousins described the soap star as fantastic, while Louie Spence claimed that he gave an "explosive performance".

Judge Katarina Witt was impressed by Wolfenden's physique as well as his skating, adding: "I gave the seven for all the right reasons, your skating, definitely not for how sexy you are, how great your body looked - it was about the steps!

"I admit - I am a woman - get rid of the leather, get into jeans and a white shirt and you will be even hotter."

Speaking to Digital Spy about whether he would be willing to skate without a shirt to entertain his admirers, Wolfenden ruled out revealing all.

"I won't be taking my shirt off on the ice," said Wolfenden. "I saw clips of Danny Young doing that a couple of years ago and I definitely don't have the physique to match him.

"I do work out, but nobody needs to be inflicted with my chest. I'm not as well built as Danny."

Wolfenden is the 5/4 bookmakers' favourite to win this year's series following last Sunday's skate. Hollyoaks' Jorgie Porter is 9/4 with Ladbrokes, while Chico and Sebastien Foucan are also getting plenty of backing at 8/1.

This week's Dancing on Ice will feature all the celebrity skaters performing on the same night for the first time.

Should he skate shirtless? you decide.
