Munsters remake 'Mockingbird Lane' delayed by NBC?
Munsters pilot Mockingbird Lane has reportedly been postponed by NBC.
Pushing Daisies creator creator Bryan Fuller and X-Men director Bryan Singer have been commissioned by the Peacock Network to create a one-hour, modern-day reimagining of the classic sitcom for the 2012-13 pilot season.
However, Variety's TV blog On the Air now claims that filming on the show has been delayed until summer in order to give it extra attention.
This would instead put it in contention for the 2013 midseason.
NBC has declined to comment on the speculation.
The Munsters project - recently retitled Mockingbird Lane after the street on which the original characters lived - has been in development since September 2010.
Original Munsters cast member Butch Patrick, who played Eddie Munster in the 1960s series, has previously expressed concern over plans for the new series, saying: "It should be left alone... I think it shows they are desperate for content."
