Big Brother tasks need to be meaner, say Alice Levine an Jamie East

Big Brother’s Bit On The Side hosts Alice Levine and Jamie East have called on this year’s BB tasks be meaner.

Speaking ahead of the new series, which starts on Channel 5 on Tuesday, the pair claimed last year’s challenges were too easy.

“The tasks need to be meaner, they were almost too easy,” Alice said.

Jamie East agreed, adding: “It was almost like Big Brother was sacred of the housemates last year I think a little bit.”

Asked for what he’d have the housemates do, Jamie suggested: “Anything that tests their endurance in terms of hunger rather than them paying snap and everyone wining a pizza.”

It seems as though BB’s task team have been listening to the feedback, with the show’s senior task producer teasing more ‘evil’ tasks this week.

Ben Riley said: “This year it’s going to be different to the usual big costume tasks, it’s going to be a little bit cleverer with a few more twist and turns for the housemates.”
