'Dancing with the Stars' Brendan Fevola: 'I want fans to see real me'
Dancing with the Stars Australia contestant Brendan Fevola has revealed that he can't wait to show people the "real" him.
The former Australian Football League player, who has been involved in various controversies due to his drink and gambling problems and his affair with model Lara Bingle, said that he has made mistakes but is a good person.
Fevola told the Herald Sun: "You get perceived a lot from the indiscretions that happened when I played football, and I've made a few mistakes, and a lot of people write stuff which isn't true.
"But you've got no real right of reply so you just cop it. That's not the real me so I think this show's a great opportunity to come out and be yourself. That's what people will either be drawn to or they won't like, and I'll find out pretty quick."
Fevola said that his children with estranged wife Alex are looking forward to watching him and Dancing with the Stars partner Jessica Raffa when the competition starts later this month, but admitted that they are "all voting for Johnny Ruffo" instead of him.
Other celebrities taking part in this year's Dancing with the Stars include breakfast TV host Kerri-Anne Kennerley, Brian McFadden's new fiancée Vogue Williams, Packed to the Rafters actress Zoe Cramond, Russell Crowe's musician wife Danielle Spencer and former Neighbours star Erin McNaught.
